Reviews from Clients

From Trustpilot, Timeshare Exit Team has received a little over a thousand reviews ranging from excellent service to bad. With this feedback, they believe this company should be rated as average. The Better Business Bureau has not accredited this business and has given them a score of B but has indicated on their website that there is a pattern of complaints by their past customers that the 100% guaranteed refund is not provided although the company claims to in their marketing. They have stated, “On November 28, 2018, BBB recognized a pattern of complaints from consumers regarding contract, customer service, and guarantee or warranty issues.  Consumers allege the business does not provide adequate updates regarding their cases and does not provide the “100% guarantee” refund.” Although there is some concern, there have still been many satisfied clients, a reason Trustpilot has given them an average score. Some of the positive and negative testimonials are as follows:

“We were very pleased with the way Timeshare Exit Team handled our exit” – Hugh P.

“Although the time was long, we are quite happy to recommend Timeshare Exit Team” – customer

“It’s a SCAM on top of a SCAM!” – Melissa O.

“I want to get out of my timeshare! It’s been 3 years that I’ve been waiting and $6,000 down. Now my maintenance fee is going into collections. I am very frustrated with them” – Britney T.

While looking at Trustpilot reviews, we have noticed that the majority of the reviews as of late have been negative. Many of them have noticed that they have been poor about communication over the past few months. Many of them have also pointed out that they believe the company could be a scam.

Timeshare Exit team specializes in timeshare exit processes to get their clients out of their current agreements. They have been operating since 2012 and are currently located in Kirkland, Washington. Their mission is to, “work hard to successfully help people find financial and emotional freedom from their unwanted timeshares.” They mention their aspiration is to connect with their clients and provide them with all of the resources they need to get out of their current timeshare agreements. On their website, they have provided a list of their team members with headshots and job titles. Knowing with whom you are more directly communicating will give clients a more personal connection and feeling of importance (link to employee profiles below). According to their website, their team members have helped over 19,000 customers exit their timeshares and are an industry leader for what they do. Their website has outlined how they can help and some things that you can do before a free consultation. Before contacting them, prospective clients should:

  1. Use Rescission Right – Some states have a right to rescission under a certain timeframe (but not all)
  2. Determine your Timeshare’s Worth
  3. Contact Them if you Need Legal Help – In preparation, you should see if you have your contract, deed, maintenance free statement, balance owed, any other additional paperwork, a points certificate (if you have one), and a valid photo ID

After contacting them, you should call for a free consultation. Following, they will provide you with a team to help you exit your timeshare. They say that their exit process will take anywhere from 9 to 18 months. The cost will vary depending on each client, individually, but they mention that clients should have a good idea of what it will cost them by the end of the consultation. They mention that there is a money back guarantee but mentions, “if the situation arises where Timeshare Exit Team is unable to obtain an exit for you, you are eligible for a refund of the exit fee, less expenses incurred by Timeshare Exit Team on your behalf” (link to their refund policy below).

With our extensive research, we have seen that many of Timeshare Exit Team’s customers have been happy with their services. Taking this, The Better Business Bureau and Trustpilot reviews into account, we believe that they are capable of helping you exit your timeshare. However, we have also seen a number of poor reviews and do not think that their money back guarantee will always be awarded to their clients. For this reason, we believe that this company may not be the best fit for all prospective clients. Because cases vary, they may or may not be a great fit for you.
